I have been playing the flute for 6 years now and I love it, and I am playing the pipe organ as well. I also like to teach other people the in and outs of software such as the CS3 suite from Adobe.

Might it have been Fusion News or Cute News?

You can see an online demo of CuteNews here.
I couldn't find an online demo version of Fusion PHP, but I use it in one of my websites, so let me know if you want me to take some screenshots.
As Erik B said, those two are the most common news scripts.
