flash image link in dreamweaver

Ok, i made some flash buttons in flash, and now want to insert them onto my webpage in dreamweaver as links, but I dont know how... some help :D

First off, this might do in Flash category?

Second, the answer; What you should do is that when you make the button in flash, you must add the link into it then. Then when you are done with it, select File > Publish > HTML Page (I am not sure about that tree order, but it's something like that). That will produce a html page where your button will be embeded, Then just copy the embed code and add it to your page of choice. Also you must make the button onto a file and not just a part of it, as it is when you do it through the component, button.

ok, so to make sure i get you, i make a flash button with "products" on it, blah blah blah in flash, and while still in flash, i must make that link to like my products.htm file?, then do the publish thing....i need to go ttry and how would i go about making this file in flash link to the "products.htm

That's what I meant I belive. i may be a very beginner at Flash at the moment but I know my way around buttons.

You need not link at all in flash, you can just add the link to the embedded flash object in dreamweaver, that's easier.

Just make the button how you want it in flash, then export that as a .swf file. Make sure that file is in your site's directory, and then in dreamweaver, go to Insert > Media > Flash and browse to the file.

i did that, added the flash, but i cant add a link to it, thats what i need

Well, what I said is as easy and I suspect the easier if you have a rollover for the button.

To make it a link in dreamweaver, click on the flash file on design section, go to the properties inspector, and type the link in the correct field.
