Okay I want to know of the linksys Wireless G Router has like a cache or memory or something, because
1. My internet has been going about 200-300kb/sec slower then normal
2. Sometimes it remembers downloads I downloaded like..months ago and it just downloads instantly!
3. MY INTERNET HAS BEEN GOIN SLOW Lawl!

4. My last router "fried"...just randomly stopped working couldnt connect, it had the same symptoms, first the internet slowed down then it just died...and supposedly it was overloaded...but WITH WHAT?! Any idea?...

I have no idea lol.

I only got a coupleof suggestions, your connecting via wireless right? try it with a cable from the router see if the speeds are correct again

or you can try the little red reset button that most linksys routers have and try again.

I dont know what causes this though ;)

You could try changing the broadcast channel...there might be static from nearby, but I have no idea what could be causing it to remember downloads. :D

I have that router and never really experienced any speed troubles except for once.

My network was unsecure so my nextdoor neighbor was leaching off my internet for weeks and always download. I then just secured the network and it fixed.
