cutting round images software?

i know theres software that exists that you can cut out areas of an image without having to go round it with a lassoin photoshop. does anyone know the name of this software?

Ive never heard of this software.. although Adobe Photoshop has some cool tools that can help you render images easier :ph34r:

I expect it's probably a similar tool to the lasso tool in photoshop, you may aswell use the photoshop tools they are very good if you know how to use them well.

Also please take the time to post an introduction.

The plug-in you are referring too is called "Mask Pro" from Extensis i think,
but its not cheap and its no magician either, you will still need to take your time!

EDIT:
You dont have to use the use the lasso tool though: if you go into mask mode (some little icon bottom of your vertical toolbar) you can take the normal brush and paint your selection: white is selected, black is not.
I am sure there are several tutorials around to show how it works. Advantage is that you can soft select with a soft brush etc... and you can tweak as much as you want (making brush bigger or smaller etc.)

Scythar goes and proves me wrong ;) But still i think the best program to use is still Adobe Photoshop CS2.. Its an all in one aswell.. because you can do the job you want and do other jobs with us :D
