Well since the topic of What a windows can do and a mac cant. Well I do know a Windows CANT do this on startup. Its so funny :wacko: Everyones reaction in the library is so funny ^_^

That's hilarious LOL! But why can't you do that on a PC? :) You can add whatever startup sound you you want. It's just funny how it it's this huge mockery of the defaut XP startup default lol!

you can have a long startup sound on windows aslong as its a WAV file my dad has a song like 2mins long as his startup sound

True I suppose, but who seriously changes it? I usually have sound off on startup cause all noises on start up is annoying, I just want the damn computer to startup and load all the way before I go eat lunch and come back :)

Yeh really is a pain somtimes, I don't have a sound at all, I somtimes used to worry like if the sound was turned up really loud in the night when I load it up in the morning I may wake people up if there still asleep or somthing.

So, I just selected no startup sound :D

I tried that once but the sound got automaticely cut off after like 30 seconds...

I remember on one show on TechTV it showed how you could disable the startup sound if you didnt like it.

Its really easy, you go into configuration screen and mess around in sound devices, you will be able to change / disable all windows sounds there
