16 bits and 8bits in PS

Any problem if I have finished a picture in ps and change the setting from 8 bits to 16 bits?

Well .... the 8 bit and 16 bit you have to change at the start ( file > New ) i would say make a new doc the same size ( with 16 bit ) And drag it in to the new 1 and save!

You use it if you reeeely need a larger gamut of transparancy, however on a computer screen the difference in rgb gamut or trancparancy isnt realy noticable however if you are making digital effects for film/printing its sometimes usefull for very precise effects.
