Well this isn't really advertising but i would make a magazine for pixel2life not a monthly thing at first to see if it would work. It might hit a larger audience that way.

I agree with Donna, that's a great idea. It would be cool ^_^

Faken...how's it going man! You know...with as far as this website has come sometimes I really wish I had stayed on board with you guys at the beginning...anyway...

What about like, oh I don't know...websites like superherohype.com or something like that...fun sites like that.

Also...you guys ever thought about doing a newsletter? Would be tight!

I wouldn't advertise at all. If I had a version of P2L, it would be so GREAT!, that everyone would advertise it for me. Everyone would spread the word and then buy my shirts and walk around like billboards, with "P2L - Visit it Now!" on the shirt.

So on and so on.

personally i would do one off the following

an A4 advert or pull out in layers magazine
sponser http://www.photoshoptv.com/
advertise at photoshop world
befriend a celebrity and get him to wear a p2l t-shirt all the time (a slightly silly idea)

the first 3 target a large specific audience, they kind off people would find p2l useful but may not have visited.

Create a youtube video on why pixel2life benefits your everyday life as a designer (or hold a competition for members to make that sort of video.) Next, submit that video to digg with a clever tagline. Just a suggestion, it would gain quite a few hits I'm pretty sure

This has probably been said, but I didn't want to read through all the posts to see. Creat a bad *** Myspace and a facebook.

I agree with Bouzy, today everyone has Myspace including celebs, rock bands, rappers etc. If P2L manages to make a really nice myspace it will attract alot of people.

I'm up for that challenge :whoosh[1]:

Just a question: Do you think it would draw away some of the traffic from the main P2L site?

Magazines!

In the UK two magazines which would be very good to promote would be Computer Arts and .NET, :P

Yup havto agree, magazines would be the best place.

IMHO creating a dodgy video for self promotion is as bad as spam... its so... words fail me.

Don't think google adds would be effective. Does any of the big vendors allow adds on their forums?

I must advertise on some high pagerank websites,
and maybe pr3 or above as I suppose.

In addition, put in on some friends' website is another good idea. :P

P2L Wear wouldn't be much of an advertisement I don't think, not many people see the words pixel2life and think "wow, I wonder what that is...". Whereas if there was a magazine advert it would explain it, especially if you choose a design magazine.

"But what if there is a URL on the t-shirt aswell?"
Who would remember it by the time the get home, and who would care about some guys t-shirt enough to check it out?

P2L Wear would be great for support and bringing in some extra money, but I couldn't see it bringing many newcomers to the website.

See if any of the big magazines wanna support you a bit, maybe right an article. If you don't ask, you don't get. Simple. :)

Hope this helps, ;)
