Hey everyone!

Just wanted to get your opinions about a template I just made for a new website of mine.
I've asked a few friends, got some suggestions, and tried to take the good ones and come up with this (hopefully) final design.

I've experimented a bit with the colours, using warm and cool ones, with gradients of blue, red and even grey!

Anyway, without further ado, here it is:

Please tell me how it looks and whether the colour contrasts are effective or not.
All suggestions appreciated :(

Too birght for my taste and the colours don't really go well together, Also the font for the navigation links are a bit illegible.

Sorry, But nice attempt.

Thanks for the feedback, Dale.

What colours would you recommend changing?

Just to let you know, the grey areas are where the ads/banners/affiliate buttons are going to go.

Don't really want to give me opinion because everyone hates my colour sence etc, but I would try colours that contract together, or stick too one colour and just use diffrent shades.

But If I was you you should take other peoples advice, Which is probably not to take my advice :(

Sorry can't help myself, get rid of the black+white-blue header layer thing you got going on around the content area.

Allign all the text in the navigation either to the site or to the centre.

Change the whole template to one colour theme but make them diffrent shades, or atleast use a colour wheel to see which colours blend.

Maybe using a pixel font for the copyright would be nice.

Put some uniqueness in, some style and/or elegancy. Texture, somthing to well, make it not sooo plain.

To my opinion you will need to change the color scheme like Dale said and the fonts are not the greatest.... also i would say to remake the template... i dont like saying it but it has to be said.... look up some great tutorials on templates and headers and their should be some on getting good color schemes... just look around theirs alot on this site that can help you... and dont be scared to experiment....

sorry, but i really dont like the navigation part, its too big and doesnt go well with the layout itself.
also the colors dont go well with each other. Try using not more than 3 colors, becasue then it get too colorfull and doesnt seem professional.
sorry for that feedback, but just saying my opinion
