I am trying to get a special effect on my logo I am creating. You've probably seen it on commercials and etc. I have this object that is in front of some of my text, but I want it to appear as if it came from the background (With a little swoosh coming from behind the text and wrapping around the text a bit to just underneath the object)

I cannot seem to figure out an easy way to do this, let a lone a way in general. I was going to use splines and curve them, but that seems rather tedious for the job. Do any of you guys have any suggestions as to what I can do please?

I must admit : things like that i cheat a little and i do those things in carrara, then after rendering, i import them in imageready, so i dunno if i can do them direcly in photoshop (in a normal amount of time)

As long as I have the same effect, it's alright by me. I can give you a link to the image file so you know what to work with.
