Oh, in terms of hosting recommendations...

I have accounts at Site5, ASmallOrange and DreamHost.

DreamHost has had it's fair share of problems recently (can't beat the price, though). Site5 has been pretty good.

I would definitely recommend ASmallOrange, though. Never once have I had a problem with them (been with them for maybe 18-20 months at this point, I think) their support is always highly regarded.

I'm sure he got it... You really don't need to post asking him.

I'm currently hosted with http://www.netfirms.com.
Never had any problems with them, prices seem reasonabe (I'm paying canadian, click Netfirms.ca at the bottom if you want) and they have something called Netfirms Enterprise which uses Clustered Server Technology...I don't know if that is what P2L or another big website would need but I guess theres no harm in checking it out.

Support is good (99.99999% sure they are not outsourcing  ), theres always someone in LiveChat and emails are usually answered within 24-48 hours. Only thing is, I don't think ASP is supported but that may be different for sites on the Enterprise deal (im hosted on the advantage plan)...you would have to ask them about it.

The problem I find is that practically every hosting site looks the same.. there's no individuality or uniqueness about many... and once you find that unique host - they don't offer what your looking for.

It's a messed up Internet, it really is

Did you ask him wtf is going on and if Ty is alive or dead? lol

I had to move one of my domains that was down today, it is currently uploading to hostgator right now,
I decided to try them for a month to see how it goes before purchasing a longer term. I'll probably be moving my 2 personal domains off SS tonight and set them up as subdomains of the one I moved so I don't have to purchase another account until I see how it goes. My personal domains are only for email redirection anyways.

By the way... I am now getting connection refused errors from serverseed.info stating that it could not deliver my tickets to helpdesk@serverseed.info

I do hope Ty is alright, I really enjoyed working with him when I needed help

Ok folks, Ty is alive and ticking... I will have him address the crowd later to explain, but right now he is working on getting the helpdesk back up (which is currently bouncing back stuff) and I am sending all the open tickets. Bear with me

Hahaha, I guess that's how these things happen. Its like finding something when you're not looking.

Quick Donna, say "Jellybeans! Fall from the sky!" We must use your power

Well this is good. Maybe he can come on here and shed some light on what was happening, and hopefully everything will be fine and I won't have to look for a new server
