That is very bizzare indeed. Hmm, maybe try Run on your pc (restores it to the time it was working best) or reboot and see if it changes it...

---------------> SKIP TO EDIT

Open up any explorer window and go to tools -> folder options -> file types and select DRIVE.

Click advanced and then go to "new" and put "explore1" in the action and locate "C:\windows\explorer.exe" for the application.

try that :P After fiddling with my own (to a point ive managed to get the same problem as you) i think that will solve it :P

========================

EDIT: ok it seemed that solution is not good as it opens every drive in a new window. So after much fiddling go to:"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \Drive\shell" using regedit and select "(default)", edit the value to "none".

That has fixed mine (as i was fiddling to fix yours mine became broken lol) and hopefully will work for you.

If not the first solution will work for you but will open in a new window each time.

lol, well your lucky because if i couldn't stop my own from opening in a new window i would have shot you lol. But while trying to fix mine i found a better soloution for you so it all worked :)

Thing is i now have 2 new options in the right click LOL. Have to find a way to remove them. I stupidily named them "open" and "explore" which of course are normal explorer commands and it wont let me delete them rofl.
