i'm relatively new to the whole scene, and im wondering how i would go about editing an image to add an impact.
Im thinking of a planet/asteroid collision viewed from space. I can make the planets and asteroid, but not the impact. I imagine some kind of wave rippling from the point of impact, water/fire rising out in somewhat of a fan shape...
I dont have a clue how to make it. All the tutorial searches have came up emty. Thx for any help in advance.
How to make an impact scene?

i think he just wants a still of it. Ok here it goes like others have said before i can tell how to do it but not what to do. You will need practice for it to look good. you will need to of coarse make your plaet and whatever is crashing into it. Then you woul place them semi over laping you know where they would hit and erash some of the extra stuff do not trip about it being nice with the erasing because you are gonna cover it up with a crap load of brushing, the most pain staking part of PS. i like to use the smudge tool alot. for your ripple search google again for a "Shockwave tutorial" i believe you will get what you are looking for. Also look on deviant art for examples of this cause there are plenty maybe that will give u an idea. Have fun trying new things
