Hi tehre, this is my first ever tut so please dont be harsh :D

ok here we go

FILE > NEW > 400 x 99

PRESS D to reset your colours

Filter > Render > Clouds

get your favourite bruses out.. and brush some back into the clouds

what i have so far :

Posted Image

Ok now, Do Not make a new layer and just brush some white into the black

Layer > NEW LAYER

Ok on this layer do this :

Hold CTRL then press A

go to EDIT > COPY MERGED

then PASTE

ok now

go to LAYER >NEW ADJUSTMENT LAYER and press ok

and make it what ever colour you like.

then go FILTER > CLOUDS

which will give you a multi coloured sig background.. ( PRETTY SIMPLE STUFF )

Now...

on the multi coloured sig..

on the layers pallet put it to OVERLAY or any other that you think is best for your sig.

Now this is what i have :

Posted Image

now go LAYER > NEW LAYER

and get find a C4D render... i will be using this one :

http://www.tutorialpod.com/tutorials/cinem...ender/final.gif

I Drag that on top of my sig

and drag it so that the "Main Image" of the c4d render is in the middle of my sig

like this :
Attached File  three.jpg   90.3K   331 downloads

the i put this image on Soft Light and put the opacity on 70 %

now i got this :

Posted Image

ok now its looking a tiny bit better, but still ugly right?

ok now...

LAYER > NEW LAYER

and get a picture with some Texture and depth, ill use this :

http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/s/i/sip1...n%20texture.jpg

paste that onto the sig like the c4d render

you may find that its not long enough

Hold CTRL press T and drag it along the sig

then try and select the Marquee tool and click apply.

Now.. set that to overlay and put the opacity to 30%

LAYER NEW LAYER

get a nice render that will go with any colour you picked...

and paste it on..

now set the opacity to 75 %

and right click the render layer and click blending options

=================
DROP SHADOW
=================

Blend mode : Multiply
Angle: 120
Distance :5
Spead: 0
Size: 0

=============
OUTER GLOW
=============
Blend Mode : Screen
Opacity : 40
Noise : 0

CLICK OK

DUPLICATE THE RENDER LAYER.

HOLD CTRL press A

go EDIT COPY MERDGED

go EDIT Paste

make sure the layer that u just pasted is ontop of everything.

GO FILTER > BLUR > MOTION BLUR

apply these settings

========
Motion Blur
========
Angle : 0
Distance: 40

click ok

put that to soft light and put the opacity to 75%

now mine is a bit dark so i am going to brighten it up abit

if yours is too do this :

LAYER > NEW LAYER

get your favourite brushes out again and remember back to the start
what colour you had as your starting colour, bring that out again and brush all over, COVERING the entier sig..

ok now set that to OVERLAY and the opacity to 65 %

almost done, TEXT NOW.. ( in white )

ok the font i am using is BlackAdderII

at 30pt

and after i finished typing my name, i highlighted it, hold CTRL and moved it around

this can also be done by pretting EDIT > FREE TRANSFORM

ok then after i moved it , i put the text layer to soft light, then duplicated it

right clicked the duplicated text layer clicked blending options and did this :

=================
DROP SHADOW
=================

Blend mode : Multiply
Angle: 120
Distance :5
Spead: 0
Size: 0

NOW

LAYER > NEW LAYER

get out a 2px hard round brush and make a strait line, about the width of your text

and go filter blur motion blur and use the same settings as before.

OK NOW go EDIT > TRANSFORM > FREE TRANSFORM

and move it at the same angle as your text,

set the white bar to soft light and duplicate it.

layer new layer

ALMOST DONE JUST A BORDER LEFT NOW

HOLD CTRL press A

This is your first tutorial? It's pretty awesome, much better than my first one. Might want to include more pictures though.

I agree it could do with a few more images. It's much easier to follow a tutorial with images to reference the major steps. Nice first tutorial though! :D

No stick to what you have oneshot, that other is just another grunge sig in the masses.

Yep more screens on your progress. A guy new to photoshop might want to try it out but doesn't know what you're talking about.

It's nice for a first and gives a decent outcome. I suggest adding more pictures, though. :)
