Hello all,

Well, I've been in the web development industry for over a year now, however, only as a coder. I have recently started getting into the work of design as I was tired of using pre-made templates, and then my own designs, but without images. Finally, I have created a design that I think everyone will like, at least.. the people I have showed it to already, and I was wondering what you guys thought.

I have the website coded, however, I am not going to post the link here as it is run off of my computer, and I don't need my internet bogged down. However, if someone is willing... I will show you the actual site so that you can feel the full experience.

Anyway. With the design and basic coding done, I'm stuck... again, with what to do with it. I kind of want to get it into a gaming website (as it is sort of set for now), however, there are so many out there, that I feel it would be very hard to compete, let alone promote the site without having plenty of staff and dedication. I just got out of the whole gaming theme from working at FileFront, so I'm not really up to doing it again right now. So, I was wondering... what do you think a site design (with it coded in HTML & CSS) like this could go for, if anything? I know it's probably not the best, but it's my first, and I'm proud of it. Although, I'm sure the more you design, the better you get.

Your feedback on the design, name, website, etc. are very much appreciated.

Its nice, very similar to other sites like it though and nothing original or anything that stands out..

It also sucks that battlefield 2141 is coming out soon cause i only just bought battle field 2 the other day

Yeah, I'm not all that great at creating totally new sites, I'm best starting out basing it off from another site. I hope to get out of that stage after a couple more designs, when I get into the more advanced things of Photoshop.

I really do suck at banners, hehe. Not my strongest point, although I plan to read some more tutorials to improve my skill!

A question, to anyone really... what colors do you like in a design? This is really my first 'dark'ish design, because I mainly do lighter colors, like the greys and whites of this forum style along with some lightended blues and a couple of darkened colors for contrast (usually in the header and borders).


Anyway, thanks for the comments so far guys. The design is not the best, although I can assure you that my PHP, MySQL, HTML, and CSS coding skills are MUCH better.

I really think you could add more colors
or just a single color with the all grey tones
