Ok guys, this is my first ever tutorial! Im a beginner in photoshop as well so it might not be so good, but i think it could be useful to some people just starting to use photoshop :D All feed back welcome as to how i could improve it as so forth.

The images are on imageshack for now while im waiting for my web server to go back up, once it is ill upload it to that.

Some of the steps im using can also be found in other tutorials ive used to learn how to edit photos. So all credit to the people who wrote those tutorials.

Time started: 3:30pm GMT time
Time finished: 4:15pm
Time taken: 45 Minutes

Step 1
Find an image of your choice, im using one of a friend of me. You can use it if you cant find an image.

The image can be found here
http://img124.images...mage=alidw6.jpg

Step 2
Open the image in photoshop and make sure you can make new layers, if not open the image in internet explorer, right click, copy, create a new photoshop document and paste the image.

Ok now we have the image in photoshop lets start editing.

Step 3
Firstly were edit the nose. Using your polygon lasso tool, select around the nose and copy and paste it, by press CTRL C then CTRL V. A new layer will be made.

The image for this step can be found here.

Step 4
Now, with the new layer still selected, press CTRL T to use the free transformation tool. Resize the nose to any size you want, try not go over board though by over lapping the eyes ect.

Image can be found here.

Step 5
Press enter and select the smudge tool. Which i have marked for you in this image: http://img232.images...itimage3kf8.png

Go around the edges of the enlarged nose using the smudge tool to get rid of the lines marking out the new nose.

The image can be found here.

As you can see from the image above, it is hard to get it to look perfect so dont try to make it look perfect or your do what you dont wanna do and make it look like a 5 year olds drawing of a nose.

Merge the two layers by pressing CTRL E

Step 6
Ok, lets make it look shes been hit in the eye by something or someone and has got a black eye.

Go to: Filter > Liquify
Press S on your keyboard to choose the "Pucker tool" and on the right hand panel use these settings.
Brush size: 60
Brush density: 50
Brush pressure: 100
Brush rate: 80

On either of the eyes click in for a couple of seconds to make it go in a bit.

Hopefully your having something like this: http://img201.images...itimage5ca3.png
Now click ok
Create a new layer to work on and press O to get the Burn tool in in use. It is shown by the hand with the finger and thumb in a circle partner.
Set the brush size to 15 and hardness to 2%
Click the first layer (we only created the new layer so we could zoom in) and then under the eye that you "Puckered" run the burn tool slightly while holding down the mouse key and run it over a couple of times in the same place till you get something like i have.
You can delete the newly created layer now.

The image for this step can be found here:

In just a few steps we've gone from this: http://img124.images...mage=alidw6.jpg
To this:http://img201.imageshack.us/my.php?image=editimage6kg9.png

Now this is my favourite part, your not gonna see anyone like this walking around the street but its just for the fun of it.

Once again click Filter > Liquify
Use the forward warp tool by pressing W and set the brush size to 100 and leave the rest of the settings as they are.

Now try to get the image looking like mine:

Thats it! The step in bold is completely optional but as you can see we've learnt some new skills in editing photos. Didn't get it quite how i wanted but didnt have enought time to so i may edit it to make it look how i want. Continue expermenting and im sure you can get good results. Would love to see them!

All feed back welcome as well as critisism, i can only improve.
