Just wondering how to get gradient colors in illustrator? I select the gradient tool and it puts it in gray scale and I don't know how to get it to work in color.

Thanks

There's a gradient palette to work with. Go to the Windows menu and I believe there is a Gradient option. Within that palette you have the option to define the colors and also add more/less stops and what type of gradient it is (radial, linear, etc). Once you have the gradient in place there's a gradient tool that allows you to manipulate the angle of the gradient.

Jacorre is right

drag the color you need to the right place on the gradient palette. double click on it to change it, or just click between stops to add an extra stop.

Little trick: add 2 stops (one ending 1 color, other beginning the other color) and then drag one of them on top of the other. Now you have a gradient with 2 colors not blending like in a flag.
