The font one happens to me all the time ;) hmm, lets see..

You know you're a web designer when:
- You open Notepad when you're trying to open Dreamweaver/Frontpage
- You right-click on Flash movies to see if they've disabled the built in items
- You select a whole webpage to see what images are backgrounds

You might not agree, but I do this

I always check wether a thing in a page was done with a background in css or something lol, just about every time I see a cool design.

so i'm NOT the only one

...your license plate says </car>.
...you can't find your homework, and you say "404".
...you delete myspace friends for having invalid HTML tags

I'm sure someone else can come up with a better 404 or myspace joke but I'm tired and I'll keep 'em.

oh, i forgot...you will ALWAYS find me right clicking on a web page to see if it (or parts of it) are Flash...

lol, 1 time last year during class at my high school, my teacher was showing us some stuff on a website through a projector and i raised my hand and asked him to right click on the sound menu (figured it was flash) and he's like "why?" and I said I wanted to see if it was flash and everyone just kind of looked at me weirdly :P ....never did find out if it was flash or not.

I'm out of ideas for "You know you're a developer when..." but I have one for "You know you're a nerd."

You know you're a nerd when your wildest party involved typing '/dance' repeatedly.

(if you've never played an MMO then you won't get this)

Heres one that happens to me.

You know you're a web developer when you type something in quotes and accidentally add a semicolon at the end.

;)

8. Whenever you make a mistake in real life (misplacing something, decorating something wrong, mess ups at work, etc) you instinctively look for the “Undo” button.

lol, if only that was possible

No i just think that its prety sad when people stay in to be on their PCs all the time. Anyway, I have 4 GCSEs in IT, including GNVQ and a £18,000 a year job.. and im 16 :) So im happy that you're smarter than me.. Maybe you can do better.

By the way.. Didnt even know you're a girl.. Im not sexiest :D Bout time some girls finally showed these geeks how to do it properly :D lol

So that's all you gained from your GCSE's. You automatically gain 4 GCSE's but what's that realy. At which grade, lemme guess, C. May I ask what your grades are for English Literature, English Language and Maths. They are the main grades people look for. Just by saying uh I have 4 GCSE's in ICT doesn't make you smart, you could do all the work in the poorest standard and pass. All you need is 7 / 15 in each Unit to pass.

Al3x, before posting what can easly be considered as an extremely rude post do your research. Depending on which level was attained on the GNVQ there is a god chance the 4 grades earned were 4xA.

He never said that he thought it made him look 'smart' as you put it. He was (and i say this speaking for him - i don't actually know so synitex but in here if you will :)) simply stating the levels he got in ICT which in discussion that was going on was relevant. Why would he include English/maths etc.

*wonders when a C was ever considered 'poor'* (and yes im predicted all B - A* so frankly my standards are a little higher but i in no way consider C to be poor, and im sure if someone who did get mostly C at GCSE read what you put about poor work then they might have something to say )

When you try to burn all you're parents '____ for dummies...' books lol

Last I checked, Al3x, a C was considered the average grade and is not a poor grade. Like Matt said, do a little research before you let your ego get the best of you.
