Yea, I was just wondering if anyone knows how to do a chrome effect in materials, or a metal effect.
I know it shouldnt be too hard, but just wondering.

just go to www.deviantart.com and search cinema 4D materials, here i found one for you :
chrome material

to install it, simply go to your cinema 4D folder and choose materials and stick it in there. :D

alright thanks for the help even though it didnt really help too much, the link the first dude gave me was for a glass material. I already checked on google, but i decided to check again, and for the last time i searched brushed metal since i think that was more of an effect i was going for, it did turn out pretty well. This was just some pointless project i had when i was bored, turned out pretty close. Was a piston head i ripped out of a lawnmower engine for the hell of it when me and my friend were smashing the shit out of an old one.

Its not exactly close, still alittle problem with the whole, besides that its almost exact :D

Oh yea, i used a danel shader for the material, just modified it by changing colors and adding this one effect i forgot in it.

Should i post a tutorial on this? Even though its pretty easy to make.

i think you took the danel shader and changed the colors to white or grey and added antisitropic affects which give it that brushed look, nice model
