The Measure Tool + Rotate Canvas combination is what I always use.
The great thing about it is that the angle value is read into the Rotate Canvas angle field without any need for remembering/writing it down. :P

it don't take a rocket scientist to figure out what he means by crooked
but if you need help he means (not straight) (tilted)

I didnt understand, cos i am not english
(edited/deleted what came next, i wont tell you but it wasnt pritty --> but since your new and probably rather young i wont hurt you too much ^_^)

OMG, if its just titled (like in "i cant take a good scan, cos my eyes arent straight lol)

take the measure tool and click on 1 side, drag to the other following a line or border that should be straight but isnt.
Then go to image > roration > arbitrary
Automaticly the needed degrees are filled in so all you have to do is click <OK> to straighten your image.
(see varelse --> thats what he meant)
If thats all you asked, sry i didnt understand.

use the measure tool or I { short cut } tool and measure along the horizon... or a line which is on angle...
then go to
image >rotate canvas > arbirtary > and it gives you the angle you wana strainghten eg . 6.25
click ok @ CW and you image will rotate.

it should look straing just crop the edges and you should end up with straight image..
