I got bored with this and didnt want to make a whole scene so i stopped after the second pic, i wanna make somethin else. I been using 3dsmax for 4 days so Im not that good. I still cant get the UVMapping down for something else I Wanna make.

4 days!??! That really good for only 4 days,..I gave up after 4 minutes I'm a noob

For having it 4 days, its pretty imressive work. Just needs a bit of work on the materials tho ;)

both points are all i was going to make and i had 1 question, did u model the pieces urself? (the actual chess pieces)

Haha I didnt even see that! I dont know how to use the align tool yet :) (there is one I hope hhaha)

Yeah I modeled the chess pieces.

I actually am SO PICKY that I used Adobe Illustrator to make the spline cages for each piece (so they all match exactly at the base for the 3 sizes). Then I exported it as a DWG file and used it in 3Dsmax, though it came out a bit square looking. The queen was my favorite ;) I couldnt make the horse as square as I wanted so I decided to start modeling a room with neat furniture it should be fun.

I know my texturing isnt that good, I just made something in photoshop and (yeah checkerboard isnt that hard haha), but UVW mapping is so confusing.. I dont see much of a need for it on the chess pieces anyways unless I made them like perfect :)
