Hi guys,

I know there are no ways to stop people from Viewing page source, but i was searching around and found this site:

http://pimpsstreet.com

when you go to view source, nothing happens, does anyone know how to do that as i had someone copy my page and i would like to make it harder for the "noobs" to just copy and paste

Thanks in advance :)

Nothing is fool proof, and rightly so because as a rule there isn't any point to hiding a source.

Anywho...try this link: http://rainbow.arch.scriptmania.com/script...ight_click.html

try viewing source on that, the method is at the bottom :) (that's a joke btw, there is no way to hide source without encoding which can easily be decoded) ;)

Quote

1. Use the <INVISIBLE> </INVISIBLE> tags around the entire document. [ Menu > View > Source. To see this one. ]

2. Use the DONTSTEAL attribute in the <BODY> tag.

3. Ftp to your server, select all files and directories, hit "Delete".

4. Put every existing copy of every file on floppies, place them in a shoebox and bury them in the backyard. There is another version of this method which involves placing the floppies in a plastic bag and hiding them in a different sort of hole. Both are equally effective.

5. Password protect your entire site and make sure no one has the password, not even you.

6. Employ a small but fanatically loyal and well-armed band of mercenaries to guard your site.

7. Start>Run>format C:\

8. Attack dogs, preferably rabid.

9. Use any version of Microsoft Frontpage to create your site. (This won't prevent people from viewing your source, but no one will want to steal it.)

10. Don't put your pages on the web.

Matt, that is the funniest quote i've heard since finishing listening to Dane Cook's CD.

But here's something fun to help the question. Why view the source then go through and copy every single image and external file, when you can go to file>save as, and it will do it for you?

It's impossible to stop people from stealing your site. It's impossible to slow the noobs down, even the really stupid ones. People will always be able to steal your site in 3 clicks, and that's that.
