i dont post much in this place bt my friend is developing an mmorpg called jaichtsa, and he wanted some poster art so i am designing a weapon i call the Taurill (taurus for horns), anyway i am very bad with pen tool but survved somehow eveen though every shape is penned.

well here it is (note of course these arent the real colours as the web is a pain and enjoys changing a little bit, it has been darkened by the we this time, ):

Taurill

UPDATE: (added blood spatter to spike wood base and ribbon + more had detail to wood texture, improved meta texture to stitches, wood blending, metal spike improved texture, broken dark horn, cracks, blood on horn)

Bloody taurill

It's nice. I would suggest not making the points to sharp, instead of having a corner point use a small curve so it looks more realistic. In reallife you aren't gonnafind a medieval weapon with a point that sharp.Especially if it'smadeof bone or stone.

its a fantasy game based in ancient japan, (ancient japanese had the sharpest blades and weapons, just look at a samurai sword.)

plus its kinda uber cos it isnt just humans there are more races and liek dwarevves and stuff are good craftsmen but it is a valid point.

Really good overall design however the red thing seems to come out of nowhere. Maybe you need a clip where it's held on or something. Just a tip when designing something for the web try using websafe colours (it's a setting you can change in your colour pallet) and that saves annoying problems like the one you have. :P

which red thing? the ribbon? it is meant to be floating in the midst of it.
But also it is nto designing for the web i just wanted to see what u think I actually said poster art, i know that could be on the internet but is actually for print.
