Not sure if this is the right forum, but it fits best here.

Alright, so I bought an Xbox 360 (yay!) and wanted to hook up to Live to update all my old Xbox games so I could play them on the Next Gen software. With a bit of help from my friends I get past some of the first fail-points, but get to the MIPS (I think, I'll check that tomorrow) and it won't pass. Whatever the name of the failure point was, I could tweak my router to have more of them and it should then pass.

Soo long story short, the problem stems back from when I tried to re-install Delta Force 2 back a couple years ago, something screwed up with my Windows XP and now I can't go Run > cmd (which is what I need to do to tweak the router apparently :\).

I e-mailed Microsoft and they responded with a message basically saying "sorry, you're S-O-L"..

What I need to know is if there is any way of connecting to XBL without re-installing Windows or upgrading my internet for something more expensive?

Because it is a problem with Windows (aka the programming languages Visual Basic and such)..

No its not. Desktop programming is for computers, not an Xbox 360
