Hey :D

After I have been using iTunes for around a year now.. I have grown tired of it.. It does the opposite thing I want it to do at the best of times.. like.. reassembles my playlists etc.

These are the players ive tried:
Windows Media Player
WinAmp
iTunes
RealPlayer

******

Anyone know of some up and coming players? Like ones that are hardly heard of? I find most things that are not discovered so much are the best ones :D

If anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful :)

Later,
Tom

:D

Itunes is my choise when it comes down to the music, it does all the logisticsa for you and is easy and fast to use, downside is the constant nagging about updates and music store.

When it comes down the video VLC media player is according to me the best one out there. It plays just about any type of video including all kinds of layered ones with multiple subs and multiple tracks for sound and or video. Fast reliable and can also be used to steam video onto ze intraweb. And its free ofc! :P

Sweet..

I think im sticking with iTunes..

In comparison with everything else, it is probably the best.. but everytime i add songs ripped from CDs its not in order of the lbum.. i am very touchy about that sort of thing lol

I don't know why so many people knock Realone/player. I like it.

I used to use that mainly, then i switched it wmp for a while, and i'm now onto itunes. But if itunes skips when i'm scrolling again i'm going to go spare so i think ill switch to something i haven't tried before like WinAmp.

If itunes fixes their little skipping bug i will revert back as i find it probably the most pleasant one to use even with the slight delayed action on pause/play/stop/volume and it's above average memory usage.

syntex, itunes also has a taskbar player :(

I'll be looking that free video thing, i never knew about it before. I normally just use yahoo music or youtube for vids.

Simple, windows media player beats all, implented into windows, no need to download other crap, and... it works

I dunno why you all love iTunes tho, i tried it once, an i absolutely hated it, slow loading, difficult finding your way around, that was like a year ago since i last tried it tho, dunno if it has changed since then, but i cant be bothered checking it out.

I had exactly the same reaction when i first installed it a few months back, i uninstalled it nearly as quick as i installed it. Try it again, that's what i have done. I reinstalled yesterday and now i'm pretty impressed by it. (+ i got one of those free coke bottle coupons that get you a free song from itunes so i figured what the hey lol)

try BSPlayer, it uses very little memory and runs fast, better for videos though...

Realone/player is crap at buffering and lags your pc

Winamp is good theres loads of skins for it, confusing when it comes to burning music to a cd though

iTunes is only actually good if you have an iPod and the stupid thing is when you convert music to AAC format it comes out as M4A

Musicmatch and players like VLC are crap

WMP 11 looks nice but it dont feel right with XP and the ID tags edit different to how they did in WMP 10 so i still got v10 and its the best :P

WMP 11 is ok, but it dosnt work for XP x64...

Winamp is so much better imo, all the plugins i have for it that are free makes the sound so much better.
