I like the background but I don't like the font you used for the header, reflections are nice as well the pattern zoom on the header..

i do like the new design, background is nice, header is ok (8/10).
But where is the nav? I guess you still didnt finish, But I am sure you can make a nice looking nav close to the banner.
Also, I think you sould lower down a bit the shades on the sides, it will be annoying coding.
