Temporary folder

I am trying to setup a mailbox type thing for a client. I have uploaded the files but when I go to the index file it says this:
"Path to temporary folder is incorrect. WebmailPHP cannot run. Check "settings_path.php" file."
So I go there and change it to the temporary folder. I Put http://myserver.com/tmp/.
It is the temporary folder on the web server right? Or is it a temporary folder on my computer?

1. Moved to a more proper category.

2. It's more like http://domain.com/../tmp, as the tmp directory is typically not accessible to the public (if it were, that would be a problem). You should probably ask your host or the creators of WebmailPHP for support on this.
