Hello all, This is my first time posting on here, I love this site!

I'm at my wits end!! I'm putting together my portfolio site for 3d Modeling Artwork. (more on that later)

I have struggled with this problem for a while and it has me at a stand still. I'm working on my site in Dreamweaver 8 and it's driving me NUTS! When I'm working on it in the Design view, it looks fine! it looks great! it's just how i want it! Here is a screen shot of it in Design view Posted Image. Looks okay right? WRONG!!

When I look at it in test browser view... It's wrong! The Name and title at the top pull away from the picture as well as the spacer between the left navigation and the rest of the site, It pulls away from the left navigation and pushes the rest of my site content to the right. Here's a picture of it in the browser view. Posted Image

This is not a good time!! Ugh it has me at my wits end. So i throw my self at the mercy of the true professionals and ask for help from you.

A side question anyone have any advice for a Fresh out of school 3d Modeler looking to break into the Video Gaming industry. Like what kind of content should i put, text wise, into my portfolio site. Any advice is welcomed.

Thank you for all your help!!

AHH! I viewed it in firefox and It was working but there's a trick!

It was not a maximized window... as soon as i happened to maximize it, it pulled the title name and seperator between the left nav and content away into the same way it was in Explorer. I resized the window manualy and the title and seperator move with the window!? So That part seems fluid where as the rest isn't... How did i manage that one?

Any advice on how to lock down those moving parts?

Thanks for the response Adam, it helped me narrow things down!

It may be how internet exporer renders it.

They tend to center align everything.

Try viewing it in firefox, if it works fine in firefox, you will need to align everything that is out of place :)
