I'm sure everybody has seen the HostGator advertisements on P2L.
I used Host Gator for a year or two with a single domain, and it was perfect. Over the past year I acquired several other domains. Even though I can add new domains onto my Host Gator account, I really prefer a seprate CPanel for each domain. I didn’t want to pay $7.00 for each one, so I ordered the basic entry level reseller account assuming I could basically just create Cpanels for each.
Everything Host Gator said they would, they did. I have no complaints with their service or quality. Unfortunatley they don’t allow their reseller accounts to “oversell”. Basically overselling is giving away more space to your domains than you have on your account. For resellers, this is understandable but for people who just want to use their 5gb of space and 50gb of bandwidth between multiple domains, this can be a problem. I basically wanted four domains to have unlimited space and bandwidth, within my alloted amount and two or three other domains with a limited amount. Unfortunately, I had to divide up my space according to how much space and bandwidth each site was going to need.
For me, “overselling” space to myself is important.
I've switched to HostNine, which so far has been fine, but it seems all these companies have their little problems.

Dude, if you want space and bandqidth, switch to dreamhost, 200GB space, no way you will ever manage to fill that up.
I switched to dreamhost around a week ago, and i am very satiesfied with them. Their support is good too, i've sent around 8 support request in the last few days (some problems with crontab) and they were all answered in less than 3 hours, which is pretty good for a company with thousand of costumers. One support member even contacted me while he was at home to help me out further.
They also give you alot of control over how you want your server to run, with shell access. Only downside is they dont use cpanel but a costum-made control panel, which works just as good (or even better?), it just scares you off the first time you see it, because there are alot of tabs and subtabs, just too many, difficult finding your way around, but once you become familiar with it, its not all that hard after all.
