about 3dsmax

hey!

ok, lets say i wanna have a whole straight through a sphere. to do that i make a sphere, then a tight/long cylinder, and place it through the sphere.
but after that i dont remember what option to select, in order to get that hole when deleting the cylinder, or moving it.

in maya it'd be the booleans subtract tool...... havent worked with max for too long to remember, but i'm quite sure there are boolean operations too??

3DSM would be the same as maya
