Basically, I don't like the Colour thats there for the text on my Icons, any idea how to get rid of it? I've tried going into Control Pannel, and then System and stuff, but it doesn't get rid of the background, any ideas?

Also, i'm not sure if this belongs in Desktop Programming or not, because I have no idea what Desktop Programming is.

I believe that background color for your text is caused by your skin, so try changing your skin to Windows blue default and see if that blue color is still there. You could also right click your desktop and select properties and click the appearance tab, look for color scheme and use one of those and see if the blue color is still behind your text.
