I havn't been on Pixel2life for a long time!

Anyway I was wondering is there any significant change from flash 6 to 7 and 7 to 8. I bought a Colin Moock book Actionscript for Flash Mx the Definitive guide the second addition and inside the book they are talking about flash 6. Could i continue to use this book to learn flash or is it too old. If it is too old feel free to post any books you have had a good experience with! Thanks to anyone for responding.

Get a book for the version you have. No sense owning version 8 and only learning what version 6 can do. But yes, most of what applied in past versions still apply in the newer releases.

As far as which book to get... do a little research and read reviews/ comparsions on the net, or head to Borders and skim through the books there. I recommend getting one that builds useful applications while you learn.
