Well hello there!

It's been a little while since the last news post and even longer since I had a chance to go over whats new, where things are at and what's on the way. So without further tap dancing, let's get into it!

First off, Pixel2life.com Version 2 is still on the way, but as always, it's delayed. We're still working on it as time permits, but finding free time is just not happening. As it stands, Jay works on the coding about one day a week, so it's slow going. We've recently made some big leaps in completing the site and Jay just added some nifty new features I know the webmasters are going to LOVE! Also, the new site will be using Boolean search! NO MORE EXACT MATCH! So if you're used to the Google style searches, you'll love this! So, I'm really pushing to get this thing done asap but I'd say we're looking at AT LEAST another month. Sorry :(

Now that we have that out of the way, I just want to remind those that are submitting tutorials right now of a few items:

1. DO NOT SUBMIT TUTORIALS IF GUESTS CAN NOT READ YOUR FORUMS!!!

I would say half the tutorials that are submitted to the Pixel2life.com index are deleted for this reason. So be warned!

2. Photoshop tutorials REQUIRE an avatar when submitted. In case you didn't notice, every tutorial in the Photoshop category has an avatar. This wonder of visual beauty happens quite easily... give up? I automatically delete submissions without an avatar.

Oh, which reminds me... in Version 2, the submission script will tell you when an avatar is requried. It also has avatar previews ;) Shhh...

3. If you have nothing but a forum or a personal portfolio, please don't bother applying for affiliation. You need some real content and good looking site to be accepted as an affiliate. If you're not sure what it takes, go look at the current affiliates. You're always more than welcome to join our topsites listing though :P

Ok, that's the stuff that has been rattling my nerves lately. Aside from that, things are pretty quiet... just trying to get caught up on dead link reports and approving tutorials. It seems like the new rotation script is working well and I've had nothjing but positive feedback on it so far. Glad you guys like that new feature.

As far as the site itself, we're growing more and more every week. We just recently passed 5 MILLION VIEWS and we're now serving about 10,000 visitors a day!

So thanks again to everyone that has helped make us a success and we look forward to a big year of growth and improvement in 2005. So bear with us, and we hope you find Version 2 is worth the wait!
