I wondered if any one can help, when putting some exts on images in photoshop then can look very pixel'ly can any one recommend some way of them looking much smoother?!

If you go to file>save for web, you can change the settings such as quality, blur etc.

That happens probably because you have the anti-alias set to "None"
Select the text, right click on it and check "Smooth".
