I'm trying to make a sort of program which can record voice from a local compuer while playing another sound!

In order to do this I need to know following:

How do I make a file from the microphone??
How do I save it (temp is enough)??

Thanks!

get flix encoder, and work with FMS to write an application where you can mix different soundchannels.. www.flashcomguru.com has a few nice tutorials ons FMS.

Being a producer/engineer by profession, and a graphic/web designer by hobby, I finally think I can shine some light on someones needs here :) . Don't forget that you can not play back the audio signal that is being recorded (I.E. someone's voice) while they are recording. Because the sound you want playing in the background will get picked up in the mic and sent out the speakers and picked up in the mic and sent out the speakers and picked up in the mic and sent out........feedback.

Simple solution, don't let them here there voice while recording.
