G'day guys,

I'm having my cd launch soon, and I'm wanting to do an online invite and rsvp system - could I use Flash? I'm wanting to present the details, and below it have a radio button for "yes" or "no", followed by a section which allows the user to select a number of guests (from 0-4), followed by a field for the user's email, followed by a submit button. In case I haven't been clear enough, here's an example:

Quote

Welcome to Ecliptic's cd launch! Please fill out the following form:

I intend to come to the launch: <yes> <no>

Number of guests: <0,1,2,3,4>

Email address: <field>

Submit.

I would then receive an email with their info. I really have no idea whether I'd be better of using PHP or something, so any help would be much appreciated!

:o

Just in case anyone has the same question here later, I found a PHP script here:

It costs $25, but works fine :D

It looks nice, but $25 dollar's for a mail form is just a rip. It's only basic php, I've made them before. There are a lot of tutorials for mail forms in php. I've even found one on kirupa for a Flash+php one:

You can use the radio button and checkbox components inside Flash 8 to make your form, or you could just visit this topic:

Download link is somewhere down the page.

The first one's an email form, rather than an rsvp one, so it'd take a bit of work. Same with the second - if I'd had time, I would have given it a go, but this was fast and easy :D

Yeah its an email form, but thats basically what your asking. It's not very hard to add fields to make it look like an RSVP.

I guess so - I wouldn't have a clue, though, and at least this system adds it all up for me and keeps an accurate record :)
