I have to share this with you guys.
I have been a customer of midphase web hosting for over
3 years. I have been very happy with them, and they have been
professional the whole time. The last year I purchased a secone
domain from them. Midphase is on the expensive end of hosting,
but I still stayed with them. Then earlier this year I find that since I
purchased the 2nd domain from them I have to pay a penalty of $25.
This is on top of the $117 US / site I have to pay. Plus I need to pay
the normal domain charges too. Point here is I am charged an
extra $25 for having more business from them.
The second site I purchased is actually for another party, but I run it.
So I decided to look around for cheaper costs. I easily found better
pricing. The cost went from $117/yr to under $40/year with my new
provider.
So I decided to bring my own domain over too. Guess what the new provider
does when you buy more web space from them? THEY GIVE YOU A DISCOUNT!!!
Now I have been expecting a refund for the 1st account I brought over. Here's
hoping I get it.
Now the reason for this rant is next. I just received an email from midphase
saying my account has finally been closed. But check out the email they sent.

Wel if you want a domain you have to pay the charges on that but your seriously better off buying domains from registrars not hosts, but a $25 penalty sounds a bit weird. Is it http://midphase.com ? prices look ok but the dedicated servers are over priced.

Yes that's the site.
They do not call it a penalty...but that's what I call it.
I am now with 1and1.com
I was just on the phone with midphase..looks like they are not giving me a refund.
I only used 2 months of a 12 month prepaid sub.
Good things to know for future customers.

I am currently with bluehost and there service is excellent you can have up to 5 add on domains on one account and I think you can park 20 domains on your main page as well. Its a pretty sweet service and they are always availible for support 24/7

I'm currenty like on a dedicated server from Layered Tech. Best hosting I ever had. I have 100% control over my account :)

Edit: I hear deadhost.net is pretty good too ;)
