Hi...

Sorry to ask stupid questions all the time - is there...like...an ActionScript Dictionary that I can
buy? (like a Hard Copy). I'm not a designer of any kind - I'm trying to build a website in Flash
Where does everyone go to find the code they need?

Regards

If you're just new to Flash, I don't think you should be attempting website's in it so soon.. I suggest learning the basics on how to make symbols, tweens, and basic timeline events and functions before you try anything like you're asking.

yep...I did that bit...a while back...but not in the right order.

The problem is that for several months - I never knew what
the selection tool actually did - I thought it just moved stuff -
so when I found out - last week - I was able to start putting
my website together.

I've got my animation, labels, content layer etc...and I've got
my buttons doing 'on release' etc...but that's about it...

I keep the Flash 8 Actionscript Bible around at work. Comes in handy when you forget how to do somthing or need to learn new stuff. It has at least a brief bit on most of the coding you'll ever use in a website. This book has been well worth the money. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a good AS 2.0 book. But, like funkysoul said, F1 is always a good go to. If you want some more examples of code, learn to use google ^_^

Google is your friend. Here is a link:

But I think the ActionScript cookbook is good, but that might be the PHP cookbook, im not sure.

And like everyone else said F1 is also good ;)
