these are prices so you all:

Syntex - says (11:40 PM):
so ppl can majorly shut up aye?

in syntex's words :spam:

Nintendo Wii - 250$
Wii games - 50$
Controller - 20$

Playstation 3 - $600(also depends what pack)
PS3 games - $60
PS3 Controller - $40

Now if you ask me, Wii is better, has a cooler controller for cheaper. PS3 is $600 and more expensive with games and stuff because of hardware, but hardware doesn't bring better games.

okay
everyone clear?
okay!

Merge topics if you like -_- But no more arguing k?

Prices taken from gamecrazy and Gamestop

Last thing...Would you buy a system that right off the bat they have an item to cool off the system? LOL

PS3 Intercooler
Platform: Playstation 3
$25.00

Appears PS3 might need an extra cooling system wouldn't want to leave the store without one if you buy one !

Reduce the internal operating temperature of the PS3 while prolonging the consoles lifespan. The PS3 Intercooler is a snap on cooling attachment that easily connects to the system to significantly reduce the internal heat of the console.

The good: Revolutionary controller design offers unique motion-sensitive gameplay options; built-in Wi-Fi delivers free online services and (eventually) gameplay; Virtual Console has major nostalgia appeal; compatible with all GameCube games and controllers; built-in SD slot for storage and photo viewing; includes Wii Sports game; most affordable of all next-gen systems.

The bad: Controller eats batteries and takes some time to get used to; lacks the advanced HD graphics and surround sound found on the Xbox 360 and the PS3; requires a wired receiver unit placed near the TV to interface with wireless controllers; can't play CDs or DVDs.

The bottom line: It lacks the graphical prowess and rich media features of the Xbox 360 and the PS3, but the Nintendo Wii's combination of unique motion-sensitive controllers and emphasis on fun gameplay make the ultra-affordable console hard to resist.

I would agree. because with the PS3 you can't upgrade the quality, but with the pc you can upgrade the video card, RAM, etc. to make better game play. I don't think it would be worth spending $600.

That's wonderful... Only this is called a computer, not a console. What about the machine if they don't get the experience of a FUN console with GOOD games?

Better GFX huh? Yeah right... Of course everyone here has the money to afford an HD TV? They only forgot one thing with their PS3... The sole purpose of a console... IT'S ALL ABOUT HAVING A GOOD EXPERIENCE... 600$ is a damned waste of money, buy a computer.. will do the same

@hellzdev: so your saying the graphics on Wii wont run smooth? like I said graphics isn't everything. You can have the graphics of a Wii and have games 100x the quality of PS3. If you are saying gameplay depends on graphics and power then you sir are messed up

Controllers are NOT 20$. The Wiimote costs 40$ and the nun-chuk extension costs 20$. Other prices are right.

top of the line in console gaming? i think you mean in "hardware specs", definitely not the gaming experience. I can assure you the fun is 100x more on a Wii.

Maybe you forgot what the Wii is about, and playing SNES games is really not the main feature... You better get a real SNES or use an emulator...

Wii graphics are going to be smooth, nothing to do with Wii lower graphics specs. I've seen many games that looks better on Wii than X360/PS3...

Its a pity I dont play games as much as I used to do...
About graphics, I recently realized that the best games I played didnt have some badass graphics.
People nowdays consider only textures, physics, light sources and stuff that eat PC's/console's resources...Nobody gives a damn about gameplay, story and fun in games anymore...

Yeah, 600$ for a console is waste of money if you ask me

I wonder what happened to that console called phantom... One moment it where there and all hyped the next it where gone. In any case im sticking by nintendo IF i should get a console, they have always tried to be orginal and inovative. Although waveing around with a wii controler may e tiresome when you had it awhile. I hope there will be some alternative later on i wanna micro suber smack brothers with my fingers not with my arms, bad tennis shoulder as i have.

You don't need to do big moves to play, just a little twist with your hands works. And Super Smash Bros. Brawl will use the normal buttons scheme, not the Motion Sensing.
