Well,

I was wondering if I really need some because I'm only working in PS, Illustrator and 3Dmax. Maybe it could be useful in PS, but in 3DMax? Does it help with 'bezier curves'? And I don't look for some expensive one, tell me what you think about that

(sry if I made some language mistakes)
greetings

Used it once on 3DSM... no comments! I think it's a waste of time & money. With experience you'll get used with the mouse or at least, a trackball...

Have, seldomly used, waste of money..
But I know a lot of people that use them and can work with it a lot more accurate and faster then with a mouse.

I think it depends on the person which is using it.

The most productive thing I've done with a Graphic Tablet is scribble my name on a blank page.

Wacoms and Intuos are compatable with more software than mentioned in your poll and if your a serious designer you'd use it.

Im looking at getting one soon . For someone like myself whose job involves using a mouse all day a tablet can reduce the risks of getting an RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) aswell.

I haven't thought about that in these categories. Thx for info. I decided to buy some cheap tablet for some time. I will be using it until I look whether it is useful to me or not.

Thanks for everyone for filling the poll and advice ;)

Yeah I agree with that! Like people are lazy (obviously talking for myself) ;) & sometimes people can't be bothered to switch from a mouse to tablet for there work... When they've used a mouse for so many odd years. I'll just stick to ma' mouse :(

I have an intuos 3 9x12. Works great in photoshop for brushing and sketching out designs. Like others said there is a wide range of programs compatible with tablets, so as long as you feel you'd actually use the tablet, go for it ;)

Graphic Tablets....
Is that those things like Wacom & Co?
I thought of buying them before, when I was drawing a bit more, but I don't draw that much now xD
So i don't think I need it xD

I bought one in June (wacom one) and haven't really used in until recently and I feel stupid for taking so long!

I use it in photoshop a lot. It works very well for digital painting.

If you use Z Brush I hear it's very good to have one.

I love my wacom. Even if you don't use it then it's something pretty sexy to look at on your desk
