So then, have you got a claim to fame? Post it here so we can either mock you for being related to someone or ask for free gig tickets, phone numbers etc.
I've got a cousin who is enganged to the lead singer of an upcomming band called SanZen - http://www.myspace.com/sanzen - apart from that can't really say I am related to anybody famous.
And if anybody knows Natalie Portman, always wanted to meet her

I met Elijah Wood after Lord of the Rings one production was over.
He was flying back to LA and so was I. Luckily I had my LOTR book on me and he signed it for me!!
And, Im in a metal/punk style band down here which is pretty rare because like 95% of South Aucklanders are into hip-hop/rap etc.
hmmm i dont think i have a claim to fame at all. although i did once go on a flight from newcastle to amsterdam and saw Emre and Nolberto Solano who were both on my flight. i also have a friend called david michael jackson - what were his parents thinking.
but thanks for making me realise how small and insignificant i am
Well he started jumping around and asking if I wanted to play action figures with him.
He gave me a batman action figure and told me to fight with his predator action figure. I said no and thats when he tried eating me

Anyhow, Patrick Roy is my cousin. For you folks in Europe that don't follow hockey, he's pretty much the most famous goaltender in the history of the NHL.
Are we just doing people we're related to or friends too?

pretty cool man.
Yea I dont know anyone famous in my family.
Yeah he's a crazy bastard lol! He's got quite the temper.
For misc famous stuff... I went to school with Mike Peca and a few other now successful NHL stars (They were playing for the Ottawa 67s at the time). I hooked up with Claire Danes and a friend of hers at a club in Montreal a long time ago (girl from Romeo and Juliet, Terminator 3 etc..). Met and hung out with Rush for a day and a couple other bands. One of my best friends for a long time was the son of Mark Garneau, the first canadian astronaut in space (great guy... super friendly a big high-tech gadget guy). I was also friends with his daughter Simone and I remember his wife was a professional ballet dancer. Umm.. what else... lol! No really famous, but a good friend of mine now is a 2 time winner of the canadian national arm wrestling competition and has placed pretty high in the world comps and I trained with a guy who won the canadian IFBB title (body building) a few times.
Saw Pamela Anderson at LA international airport once! LOL!
Met some political leaders and such... nothing great there... I sat next to Brian Mulroney on a flight last year and wasn't sure if I should say hi or smack him. He's the canadian prime minister that introduced the GST, the most despised tax of this country lol! Anyhow, was a nice guy all tax gripes aside.
