Hi

I can't find a tutorial of this but I'm sure there is one somewhere

I need a curve being drawn in flash, so the animation starts from nothing and then it draws a line ending in a nice "waved" curve.

Thx in advance

hmm..

You could use frame by frame or motion tweening, but that would take a while to look work smoothly...

There is a way to make Actionscript draw. I'm pretty sure you could make Flash draw waves using some mathematical graphing knowledge (cos, sin and tan graphs?)... But sorry, thats way beyond me

Maybe someone else has an idea?

Its done with masks. Draw your nice little curve, and apply a mask. Then do a frame by frame animation, slowly revealing the curve. Search how to do masks in google.

Use a motion tween on the mask. You have your entire line drawn out, then mask it and move the mask over to show the line.
