example: http://www.vipercreations.com
in my opinion it makes the owners look real good, plus it helps for a good cause!

no. for big sites like this its a bit tacky. for your own little site maybe... i had a support england one on my old blog for a bit and it just looked so tacky i had to get rid of it (i think i did anyways - although it doesnt matter cus i dont use it anymore).
as for it helping a good cause - it all probably lines some fat africans pockets anyways. im such a cynic.
plus i usually only donate/endorse charities close to home (UK). im such a xenophobe.

Why does it make them look good? No offence to those people but we cannot help their poverty, that's upto the GREEDY rich Government of that country.
I wouldn't use them but these http://thatamazingperson.com/?p=59 I would

haha that made me laugh.. So what you're saying is "Put one of these banners on your site.. even if you couldnt give a rats ass about the poor country, but it makes your site look good and gives you a good rep
Dude.. if you want to donate to a charity then you do it.. you dont advertise it on the net.. you should just feel good about yourself donating to a charity without the world knowing. I donate £250 every 4 months to Cancer Research UK.. I dont go and stick a notice round the globe lol.
Anyone else on the same wavelength as me? lol

But hose banners dont do anything in my opinion.
Its like saying you are backing something but not doing anything to help. Like playing for a football team and just standing around.

The trend that IS pissing me off is these asshole companies that go around making pink products during breast cancer month to get people to buy them thinking they are contributing something to breast cancer research, when in fact they just made it pink knowing they'll get more sales. That's friggin disgusting.
