Erm...sorry Donna, got a wee bit carried away there.
I had a look at that one and its kinda flat and "none-dimentional"
Attached is more the idea I am desperately searching for.
**One would obviously not be able to create something exactly like that, but Im looking for a close proximity and I am sure that it can be done in PS, after all, it is Photoshop we are talking about here**

You wont be able to create somethingh even close in resembelance to those trophys you attatched in PS. That is unless you are a master painter who can do everything by mouse and brush. To make 3d images like that you NEED a 3d software, im sorry but there is just no way to fake that in PS.

Even more:
if you look close at them, you see they both reflect a room that isnt there, so even in a 3D program, you would have to use a special technique to make them look so good. (It's called hdri for short)

the whole 3d part of the doing the image in photoshop is the easy part ( like a 5 min job )
, the effect of all the shades and reflections can also be done , but that is the hard part, a lot of time a lot of shape making, dodge and burn, picking the right colours bluring and levels, and loads of other stuff just to name a few
i made a quick one in photoshop ( without handles or shades ) 5 min job the easy part

Download PSD File here
not sure if you mean the effects of been more inportent in the tutorial or the shape
but this was just made with a cupple of easy shapes
