i have an idea of how to do it, it's just that it always turns out looking quite dodgy when i do it (not using people though, using text). i'd just like to know how to do the spinning effect, not the mouse over effect. so if anyone can find me a tutorial, or be able to describe to me how it's properly done, that'd be great. =]

so, can someone help me do this?

Blur effect/filter of course with action script, and for your dodgy problem, try shrinking the amount of frames you use between tweens.

The less frames, the tighter the frames link together when played back.

The less frames you have the more motion occurs between frames (making the animation choppy at a lower framerate). Up the frames used and the framerate (30-45 fps will typically work). It should help smooth things out.

For some code ideas, check out reflektions.com

Excellent AS website.
