Hi there ya'll.
I admire sites that have all flash site in index.html, where in url u don't see it as .html, just like..
www.chhm.com and that's it. I want it so when a user tries to view code, there's only the flash setting box type of thing. For example, peep these for clarity/comparisons... photosite & photosite 2b
I was thinking of maybe a redirection script to my index.html with the .swf in it, which sends users to just the .swf file? Does that make sense and would it work?
Thanks,
chhm
How do I get .swf as .html/index without .html & .swf

first problem:
When you redirect a user to a swf file, the dimensions you set for your fla will be magnified.. user gets a bad quality swf.
second problem:
Search engines will never index your site
Solution:
Create a full screen flash movie that fill the complete browser area

One: I think there would be settings applied to that folder on the server to make it display a SWF file by default. If you go to: it shows the same page with the whole URL.
Two: You can ALWAYS view the page source by using the menu bar: View >> Source (In IE).

Sorry, I just realized that I was explaining Funky's link...
But the same applies: IF you go to www.chhm.com/index.html it shows you the page displayed if you just go to www.chhm.com. This would be a setting on the web server to make it call the index.html file as default without actually going to it (does that make sense
), therefore it doesn't show in the address bar.
