I rendered this picture at 9000x6000 (1.5 aspect ratio). However, my shadows look like I enlarged the image and they look "foggy" not like what a shadow should look like. I would like them to get to be as good as it gets for a 1800x1200 image (1.5 AR), but I would like to also have it nice in higher resolutions.

I do know that there could be one drawback in having higher resolutions:
I can't install Terragen 0.9.19, due to incompability issues with WinXPx64. I don't have the commercial version of Terragen 0.9.4x so I can only render at 1280x960. I would think that would be a setback, because a special tip I take with any kind of 3D rendering is to render at high resolutions but resize down in Photoshop. And I guess with both the setback of having no commercial version of Terragen and unable to get my shadows to looking of great qaulity, I won't beable to make the perfect image out of my idea. :o

(Here's of great qaulity help: Here I am. look at the "Excellent" collum and keep in mind I like the 1.5 aspect ratios)
What I did in 3dsmax: I'm using scanline with advanced lighting turned on. I have skylight and a white, shiny flooring.

Is there anyway I could make this better?

The Four Seasons

There is also another version here, but I was told I should make it look like it has more perspective. o.O

I would appreciate your help, thanks much.

Yeah, I'm sorry, I thought really saying it, but I'm talking about 3D Studio Max.

This is why your shadows are all 'foggy' you're using an indirect light [light is being sent in every direction, bouncing off everything resulting in blurry shadows].

To have hard edged shadows you need to be using a direct light [such as a spot] in addition to/instead of your skylight.
