I put less than a half of an hour of work in to it. More or less just a conceptual preliminary design. Any tips/suggestions welcome.

To tell you the truth, it really shows the half an hour of work you put into it. You need to put more than half an hour into a design to get a reasonable outcome. Personally I don't like the colours used, nor do I like the layout. Keep trying until you come up with something a little bit more creative rather than a few boxes and some drop shadow.
