what license would i need to obtain and any other legal things, in order to sell mp3s of mainstream artists' music? i had a little google for it but only found info on how to sell your own music, not for multiple artists other than myself... not sure where else to look... any info would b good... btw, i'm in the uk if that makes much difference

Np just host your server in russia and sell on allofmp3 style! 
Honestly i dont know, geting a license to sell music should be like haveing a license to sell any cds like any music store and giving the music industry its share.
Cheak the record companys homepages.
