so i went to update my library onto my ipod and it told me there was a ipod software update to 1.2, i run itunes 7.0.2 which is the newest version, and as soon as it finished the update nothing happened
i unplugged it and restarted itunes and when i plugged it back in it started the update again, i gathered after some searching that the update is broken for many people and you have to mess with it while its updating
well after it updated this time my computer crashed before it would transfer the music
i run windows x64 with vmware and a windows 32 bit version on that
my itunes is on the virtual machine and so the computer that crashed was the virtual one
i restarted and tried it again and this time my virtual compter got a bsod (blue screen of death), i didnt even know virtual machines could get bsods
now whenever i launch itunes with my ipod plugged in my computer crashes
i dont know whats wrong with this, o and i forgot, when i got the bsod my ipod was wiped clean and it tells me to plug it in to a computer and restore it
im about to call apple and curse them out
there was 26 gigs on my ipod and since i run it through vmware, data transfer is only usb 1.0
ARGGHHH does anyone know a way to fix this? all the software is up to date
thanx for reading my description/rant
