font styles in illustrator

can i do the same font styles in illustrator as i can do in PS?

If you are talking about blending options then, no. At least not what I know of, so if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me. If you on the other hand are talking about the character box, then just when you have a text bounding box open, just click on the Character text in the options toolbar to bring that up.

okay thanks. i am doing logos in illustrator and i like the style effects in PS and wanted to recreate them.

Yes you can, they're different possibilities:

1. create outlines from your text and apply whatever filter and special effects on them you want

OR !!

2. Use the graphic styles (they're called that way in Illustrator...
f.ex.[attachment=2010:GraphicStyles.jpg]

thats right, i have thoes styles. thanks for that reminder,,, duh

can i load the styles i have in PS into illustrator??

nope, totally diff concept

then you would have to outline type, then export to photoshop and use them there.
